Open and edit Excel files on your phone

Opening a spreadsheet attachment on a phone usually means a sign-in wall or a download that never opens. GenZOffice opens .xlsx, .xls and .csv straight from your storage, with the sheet tabs intact.

Every step runs inside the app on your own phone. The file is not uploaded to a server, no account is needed, and the whole thing works in aeroplane mode.

How to open an Excel file on Android

  1. Open the Excel tabGenZOffice lists every spreadsheet it finds on your device.
  2. Tap a fileThe sheet opens with its rows, columns and tabs.
  3. Edit a cellTap a cell to change its value or enter a formula.
  4. Export if you need toSave the sheet out as CSV to share it anywhere.

Formulas that actually calculate

SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, IF and VLOOKUP are supported, so a budget or a marks sheet recalculates on the phone rather than showing you a frozen snapshot of numbers. VLOOKUP performs an exact match; approximate-match lookups are not supported.

Multiple sheets

Workbooks with several tabs open with all of them available, so you can move between a summary sheet and its underlying data.

No sign-in to read your own file

There is no account, no cloud copy and no upload. The spreadsheet is read from the file already on your phone.
